The aim was to create a soft, emotionally safe space where parents can document life lessons, stories, and messages for their children in a deeply personal way.
By combining natural language processing, semantic memory tagging, and AI-generated visuals, the system transforms memories into an experience that feels alive, a companion that grows from real-life memories and emotional truths.
Before building With Love, Ü, I explored why memories matter, and why so many fade or go unused.
Research revealed the emotional and psychological value of preserving them, the impact of reconnecting with our inner child, and the lack of tools that capture not just moments, but emotional legacy.
These insights became the foundation for designing With Love, Ü.
After defining the vision, I translated the research into a tangible experience. This stage focused on building early prototypes to test the core interactions, from memory recording to avatar generation, and exploring how the AI could feel warm, personal, and emotionally aware.
I developed a full working prototype using Astro and Flask, integrating voice notes, photo uploads, and memory-based avatar generation.
The AI responds as a gentle, emotionally aware inner child, shaped by the stories it receives. Avatars evolve from shared memories and objects using GPT-4o and DALL·E 3.
The project was showcased in a UI/UX design workshop at Prompt:UX Berlin and received recognition for its emotional depth, innovation, and potential as a new form of digital legacy.
